Should English be the official language in the United States?

     English is the first language for the United States, no doubt about that.  Growing up in the United States what is the first language that is learned, if it is not English! This country has many different languages coming in everyday.  What is the correct English, is it the American way correct?  There are many countries that talk English as their first language.  People that are born in the United States are taught English sense the first day they are born.  Now,  if they have parents that talk another language that is different, but better assure that, that individual will learn English once it starts daycare, preschool, and public or private school.  So by saying this English is the major language for the United States.
